I'm Megan. I'm an almost-30 California girl who is back on the west coast after some stints in Texas and Georgia, and exploring life outside the Pacific Time Zone. I am a 15-time half-marathoner and one-time marathoner, living, loving and running through a pretty outstanding state.
Every now and again, you'll see some additional folks making appearances here on my adventures.

I started this blog when I first moved to Georgia in August 2011. This blog was originally started to keep family and friends up-to-date on my on-goings, but also as I learned to refurbish furniture, posted about those a lot here! You can search way back in the archives for some of that fun. But as I took on the new challenge of training for and running my first half marathon, my focus changed - a lot. And thus, Run Megan Run was born in the spring of 2012. Since then, I've run countless 5Ks, 10Ks, halfs and am working on full marathon two in the Spring of 2015. You can read more about my running adventure here.

I am in no way a medical professional (physical therapist, dietitian, physician, or even pyschologist). Any ‘advice’ or ‘tips’ or adjective/synonym relating to anything health related is what works for me, based on my experience, and is something to consider, but not take for gold. Before beginning any new training program, you should contact your doctor and any other medical professional you see fit. My plans have been tweaked, reviewed, and meticulously planned out by me, for me.
